With a staggering population of 1.2 billion! The population of India is growing exponentially and is showing no signs of slowing down. It is astonishing that no one is paying heed to this major crisis. With more and more mouths to feed, the resources become finite, leading to mass crisis. People are living in inhuman conditions, a cubicle of 10x10ft is the habitat of a family of 6. The mentality of more is better does not apply everywhere and certainly not in terms of population. More people means more infrastructure, more education, more demand. To which our country is totally incapable of providing. We are adding only to the quantity of our country and not any quality to it! Vote bank, religion, stereotypes, etc., all think of just two steps ahead and not the path of destruction it will ultimately lead to. We are building a nation of liabilities and not assets. Family planning has been less successful in India than in China, where a strong centralized government has more power to enforce its policies and impose its will. India’s efforts have also been compromised by things factors as high rates of illiteracy and infant mortality, low status of women, conflict between castes and religious groups and poverty.” Sex education, campaigns and broad mindedness can help reduce the rate of growth. stronger govt. policies and will power can further add in solving the problem. It is one of the major major problems which give roots to thousands of other problems. It’s a pity what paths are we choosing for further generations. P.S: this does look like a school essay but the problem is real! however, the solutions are a mere joke!
